The Board Meeting was attended by 14 members and focused on reviewing the Club's financial status, governance, and plans for the upcoming Rotary year. The Board confirmed the minutes of the previous meeting, reviewed the Club's finances, and discussed the proposal to induct the President and Secretary of the South City Owners' Welfare Association (SCAOA) as Honorary Members, subject to their acceptance. The Board also approved the revision of the Spouse Membership Fee from Rs. 10,000 to Rs. 11,000, while retaining the regular membership fee. Discussions were held on updating the Club's bank account signatories, appointing Mr. Loyolka as the Club's auditor, and announcing the proposed Board for Rotary Year 2026–27. The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks, followed by fellowship over dinner.

Discussions were also held regarding the Rotary Year 2026?27 leadership team, installation planning, District Awards criteria, Rotary Citation requirements, and support to The Rotary Foundation. RYLA Be an Entrepreneur Project Joint meeting

RYLA Be an Entrepreneur Project Planning Meeting The Rotary Club of Calcutta South City Towers and RC Mega City conducted a joint online Zoom meeting to plan the upcoming RYLA ? Be an Entrepreneur project. The program is scheduled to be held from 5th June to 7th June 2026 and will involve 32 students. The meeting focused on planning, coordination, and successful execution of the program. Discussions were also held regarding participant logistics, program structure, and promotional activities. Efforts have been initiated with FM radio channels for project publicity and awareness.

The Rotary Club of Calcutta South City Towers successfully conducted its DG Visit Meeting in the gracious presence of District Governor Rtn. Dr. Ramendu Homchaudhuri, district dignitaries, members, and guests at Lake Club. The meeting included presentation of club activities, induction of a new member, DG address on health awareness and Rotary initiatives, club business, and fellowship dinner. Srinithi updated that the RO water purifier installation will begin once the association completes the pending sand-related work. Rtn. Suman Khowala reported that sanitary napkin distribution was completed for 350 beneficiaries and shared feedback regarding inclusion of male housekeeping staff. Updates were also shared on the 20 commodes allotted by the District, dispatch of mosquito nets to the RCC, and support requested for a thalassemia patient. Members were encouraged to register for upcoming district programs. It was also agreed that a formal mail will be sent to SCAOA regarding the return of the e-cart. Rtn. Nitanjan Thakkar shared his visit to the Rotary Club of Frankfurt and the flag exchange during his trip.

Members reviewed ongoing and upcoming projects including the old clothes distribution, Sundarbans Milan Utsav, mosquito net distribution through RCCs, park bench repair, and the Adult Literacy Project. Venue allocation issues with SCAOA were discussed, and the club was appreciated for receiving four Certificates of Appreciation for its service last year.

RWM 453/3 FREE EYE CAMP FOR SERVICE STAFF SOUTH CI

13th July 2025, Rotary Club of Calcutta South City Towers, in collaboration with South City Residents Association, organized a successful eye screening camp for maids, drivers, housekeeping personnel, security staff, and other daily support workers of South City. A total of 277 individuals were screened, with 224 advised spectacles and 15 diagnosed with cataract, requiring further medical care. The camp was inaugurated by AG Rtn. Tanu Roy during our weekly club meeting. On this special occasion, he also inducted our new member, Mr. Sanchay Samanta, into the Rotary family.

The 13th Installation Ceremony of the Rotary Club of Calcutta South City Towers was held on 8th July 2025 at South City Club Mini Banquet. The meeting began with a prayer by Rtn. Nisha Agarwal and lamp lighting by dignitaries. The event was attended by DG Dr. Ramendu Hom Chaudhuri & First Lady, AG Rtn. Tanu Roy, Zonal Secretary Rtn. Ranjan Basu, PDGs, club presidents, RCC teams, South City Association, and residents. Rtn. Srinithi anchored the program. Rtn. Falguni Sarkar gave the welcome address and Rtn. Raj Srivastava presented the activity report. Rtn. Aneesa Zainab was installed as President by Rtn. Satish Tarway. Office bearers were introduced by Rtn. Annalakshmi. The AG appreciated that the records were well maintained and properly updated, and that all procedures had been correctly followed. Both the AG and Zonal Secretary shared valuable insights on documentation, reporting, and the importance of updating records on the RI/Zone platform. They also guided members on proper usage of the platform and emphasized timely updates. The interaction was informative and helped create better awareness among members regarding Rotary processes and reporting standards.

Joint meeting with RC Mega City -Ryla project

The Rotary Club of Calcutta South City Towers participated in a joint meeting with RC Mega City to discuss the upcoming RYLA ? Satish, and Rtn. Srinithi, and focused on planning and collaboration for the successful execution of the project. This RYLA initiative is unique as it aims to develop entrepreneurship among youth, marking a first-of-its-kind effort in the district. It also reflects a strong collaboration between two clubs working together to create a tangible and life-changing impact.
